Hi! It’s so nice to meet you!
I’m Sheri – just simply a mom on a mission to raise nice humans, eat simple, minimal ingredient foods, and learn homemaking skills— all while working.
I love all things simple with a dash of witchyness! The moon has fascinated me since I was a little girl. I love herbs, gardens, flowers, fairies and everything magical!
I live on the prairie – in Pierre, SD with my little family. My husband and I have been married almost 8 years. My daughter Charlee is 15, Chet is 2.5, and baby Clara just joined our family early this summer.
About 15 years ago, after many doctor visits, a wonderful chiropractor helped me through health issues. I was 23, a new mom, and I was having terrible digestive issues. With her help, I figured out I had a sensitivity to gluten. Navigating a new eating style at that time was not easy, but I did it. And I became quite good at it and reading labels became fascinating to me. A few years later I was helping others change their lifestyles! It was so fun, I helped over 100 women change their lives by teaching them how to swap ingredients, taught how to use cleaner products and lose weight. It was amazing! But, I burned out fast. Working, mom life, trying to build on online business, being a new wife, and trying to take care of the home was too much. So I stepped back from my business and just focused on my family.
My dream has always been to be a homemaker, but life didn’t deal me that card to do that fulltime yet… plus I have an absolutely amazing job being the office manager for a chiropractic clinic. It’s so fun, fast paced, and I’m always learning about supplements and how to live a healthier lifestyle.
I once thought that there was no way to fulfill that dream of a homemaker, but what I realized after my son was born a few years ago, was that just because I don’t have the pinterest farmhouse, amazing instagram photos, or even much of a yard- that didn’t mean I couldn’t still work on those homemaking skills.
So I decided to start with sourdough and worked on keeping my home tidy while I’m still working. I really love my job, so it only made sense to make it all work. It’s hard, the dishes are not always done, the floors are not always clean, toys are scattered most days, and there is always laundry piled up….but I feel so fulfilled!
My dream maybe to be full time at home, but for now – I’ll make the best of both worlds. Juggling it all. Life has a funny way of shifting always, and blogging has been on my mind since I stepped away from my online business– so here we are!
